What is 3D Secure?

3D Secure is an additional security layer designed to verify the cardholder’s identity during online transactions. This technology requires an OTP (one-time PIN) sent to the phone number linked to the card, adding a robust layer of security for your payments.

 

How Does 3D Secure Work with the Gold card?

The Ezzocard Gold card is pre-registered and linked to a unique phone number. When you purchase the card, you will receive:

  • Standard card details (card number, expiration date, CVV, and PIN);
  • A billing address;
  • A special link to access SMS messages (Message URL).

Here’s an example of what the card details will look like when you receive them:

If the website where you’re making a payment requests 3D Secure confirmation, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the provided link (Message URL).
  2. Enter the card PIN to log in.
  3. View the SMS messages containing the OTP sent to the card’s linked number in the past 24 hours.

The one-time PIN (valid for 5 minutes) received via SMS must be entered on the payment site to complete the transaction.
